Umformatierung NTFS vs. FAT32

Hallo Forummitglieder,
habe in meinem Rechner eine 250GB Festplatte,auf der Windows XP Prof.
installiert ist.Die Platte ist mit dem Dateisystem NTFS formatiert.
Möchte jetzt zusätzlich Suse Linux 10.0 installieren.Um auf beiden Betriebssystemen Schreib-und Lesezugriffe ausführen zu können möchte ich die Platte neu mit FAT32 formatieren.Geht das über Windos XP oder gibt es
dafür Freeware.
Bin dankbar für jeden Tip.

Moin Guenni!

Willst Du XP vorher platt machen? Dann einfach beim Setup von Win die Partition entsprechend einrichten und als vfat formatieren und den Rest der Platte in Ruhe lassen...

Nach der Win-Installation fängst Du mit Susi an; SuSE erkennt den freien Platz automatisch und bindet auch die bereits vorhandene Win-Partition ins System ein.

Soweit ich weiß ist FAT32 doch nur für Partitionsgrößen bis 64 GB oder täusche ich mich da?
