Ist denn das Kabel dran?
Kiste aufschrauben, und nachgucken.

Hinten am Laufwerk, CDROM, Brenner, oder DVD (sind alle hinten gleich) sind folgende Kabel vorhanden (immer):
1 x Stromversorgung - Weisser Stecker mit 4 Kabeln, direkt vom Netzteil kommend.
1 x Datenkabel - Breites Flackbandkabel

Über das Datenkabel fliessen die Daten, auch Musik, wenn sie zum von der CD ausgeführten Programm (Spiele, Filme...) gehört.
Die Ausnahme sind reine Musik-CD´s (Audio-CD). Hier fliest die Mucke *nicht* über das Datenkabel! Hier wird ein zusätzliches Kabel benötigt.
Es hat einen 4-Poligen flachen kleinen Stecker. Dieser kommt (meist) links aussen ins CDROM/Brenner/DVD-Laufwerk (von hinten gesehen links).
Das andere Ende dieses drei oder vier-Adregen Kabels kommt direkt in die dafür vorgesehene Buchse auf der Soundkarte. Oder bei onboard-Sound-Chip entsprechend auf das Motherboard.

Problem: Wenn Dein anderes laufwerk Musik-CD´s korrekt abspielt, ist hier schon ein solches kabel vorhanden. Wenn Deine Soundkarte nur einen solchen Anschluss hat, kannst Du auch nur ein Laufwerk anschliessen. Meine Soundkarten haben aber alle 2 Anschlüsse,. Muddu bei Dir mal gucken. (Handuch zur Soundkarte bzw Motherboard)

Falls Dir so ein Kabel fehlt, die kann man fast überall kaufen.

CD Laufwerk: Mitsum CR 48xATE ide
DVD:LG DT-ST DVDRom
Sound: Avance AC 97 exterm glaube ich
Systemsound beim hochfahren ist da, Testsound beim einrichten der Karte ist auch regelbar(laut, leise).
Das mit der Laufwerkseingabe habe ich auch schon probiert, selbe Fehlermeldung. Habe ich etwas bei der Installation an Paketen vergessen?
Wenn alles nicht klappt, packe ich meinen PC ein und komme nach FL zum Einsteigerabend.
Wohne bloß 15km von dem Punkt entfernt.

Wenn Du Audio-CDs oder DVDs abspielen möchtest, dann musst Du die doch gar nicht mounten! Die Meldung wegen des Filesystems ist eigentlich schon ganz richtig...

Du musst lediglich Deinen bevorzugten Abspieler starten und da halt die entsprechende Quelle angeben...

ausserdem währe eine info über deinen soundkarte und cdrom laufwerk nicht schlecht.
Das heist: wie lautet der name deiner soundkarte, ist sie onboard oder eine extra karte, ist dein cdrom laufwerk ein "übliches laufwerk" also ide oder ein SCSI?

Diese infos währen nicht schlecht danach gibt es 100% eine lösung für dein problem welche selbst für anfänger zu verstehen ist...

mount: Der Dateisystemtyp konnte nicht festgestellt
werden und es wurde keiner angegeben.
Warum nur bei Musik und DVD Filmen
Bitte um langsame Antwort, da absoluter Linux Anfänger
