Ich will in erster Linie per FTP draufzugreifen. Ich hatte für mich schon beschlossen, das ich das auf fat32 belasse, damit ich nichts an der auf der Disk installierten Software zerstöre. Ich habe ferner festgestellt, das ein FTP-Zugriff funktioniert, wenn ich das als root mache.
Ist nicht sehr elegant, aber es geht dann alles.

ich hab mal ein paar Fragen zu meiner neuesten Errungenschaft:
Ich hab mir eine externe Festplatte mit Lan und USB-Anschluss gekauft, genauer eine Packard Bell NetStore 3500.
Hm, die ist, wie es aussieht für Windozeuser optimiert, standardmässig mit Fat32 formatiert und man kann per ftp, samba(?) oder usb drauf zugreifen.
Ich möchte sowohl von Linux, als auch von Windows drauf zugreifen können.
Meine Fragen:
1.)
Wie sollte man die am besten formatieren?
ext3, oder Fat32 lassen?
2.)
Netzwerkmässig kann wohl nur die erste Partition angesprochen werden, wenn ich das richtig gelesen hab. Sollte ich die partitionieren, oder als ein Laufwerk lassen.
3.)
Dateien mit Umlauten (Ja ich weiss, Umlaute sind baeh) lassen sich per ftp nicht kopieren. Kann man das evtl. in der Konfiguration der NetStorage einstellen?
Upps, gerade festgestellt, man kann es einstellen, wenn man im Encoding:
Central Europe (cp1250)
auswählt geht es.

Ich wäre über jeden Tipp hocherfreut.
